MA -- can you say some words on why you like Israel? is it just because of the handicap? because it looks like they are going to Zagreb with only 3 first-choice players to choose from.

Haven't read up on anything with these qualies yet. So, I've got no idea about injuries/suspensions/teams.

Croatia/Israel OVER 2.5 goals @ 1.99 @ Pinnacle looks pretty good.

Home dogs have been pretty unbelievable in the qualies so far aswell. But, I think there are a few away faves that will cover. Germany -0.5 at Ireland might be a decent idea depending on German team news.

Yeah. Croatia seem to be very talented in attack especially at home.

But there must be a reason why the line looks so appealing.

It is primarily the handicap. At +1, 1.5, IMO it is worthy of consideration for a small play (1.5 to 2 units). Also, much depends on those crazy Croats. If they underestimate Israel, the opponent might sneak in with a boring 1/2 cover.

For me, Turkey over 2.5, Finland pk and +0.5, probably at 4 units, are my best plays, with Netherlands pk and -0.5 for 2.5 units, and Spain at PK for 3 units.

I was looking at the Italy under, but don't trust this unit. We'll see.

good luck,

guess we will find out. i'm taking -233 for Croatia to win as well as some on the -1 (-105) handicap. Croatia can win here and not have to worry about they're result at Wembley next week.

also like the Turkey over. Turkey could and will most likely go over themselves. was 5:0 last meeting, but Moldova's last 2 qualis have been 1:0 scorelines so i may lay off this one.

Will also play Spain at PK. i think Aragones performs well under the pressure and that he certainly is.

Money line Ireland might seem like a waste of moulah. But be honest, can you see any motivation on the big G?

i think Germany will be without Klose, Borowski, and Schneider....but N. Ireland has no hopes of qualifying so who knows who they will be playing with and how much motivation

I made a reply in another thread about the Croatia-Israel game. Might aswell have it here in the "Official" thread. Cutted and pasted below:

Yes, Croatia has a comfortable lead but not as comfortable as one would think. They are definitely not looking ahead for the England game already since they need 4 more points to be 100% sure to qualify for Euro2008.

They will try to get those points in their games vs Israel home and Macedonia away. Not against England away in the last game of the qualifier. They are fully concentrated on the game vs Israel to get 3p and then only needing a draw vs Macedonia. Waiting for the England away game in the last round to get points is way to risky for Croatia.

Croatia has starters Petric (A) and Niko Kovac (DM) out for this game along with benchplayers Balaban (A) and Budan (A). This means Eduardo and Olic will start the game.

Israel has more troubles with starters not playing. 3 starters out for yellow cards (Awat, Benado and Ziv) plus injured players Idan Tal and Robert Colautti. Yet another 2 players are in doubt as of now, Barak Itzhaki and Salim Tuama. This means 5-6 starters will probably be out for Israel. They will play with a team that has not played much together.

That makes the bet a little risky in my opinion. The odds simply aren't there although it of course could be a winner nevertheless. Stranger things have happened, right :). I would like a little higher odds for this bet.

Israel has announced they will play an attacking game since they need 3p to still have a chance to qualify. This will open up a lot of space for Eduardo, Olic, Srna, Kranjcar and Modric. I expekt this game to have quite a few goals.

Croatia still hasn't lost a home qualifier since they started qualifying as an independent nation (1994)

You're right. They need one point to guarantee qualification but only a miracle can stop them from not getting that in the next three games. I still think Ireland are worth fading because they have one of the worst managers in international football history and he has manage to turn a team of average yet committed players into a complete shambles void of any great team spirit.

Germany seem to have an inspiring coach in Loew, and they've got a deep squad. They'll have Torsten Frings back in midfield aswell as Schweinsteiger, Kuranyi, and Podolski (he's not that great, I'll admit). There's enough quality there to win the match. So, maybe they're worth something.

Great analysis. I took the Over 2.5 goals in this game. Hopefully the match goes to plan!!

that exactly what the situation is..one point is enough, but that s almost the only reason not to make it a real big play. ofcause germany is missing many top players (see above), but they are playing basically the whole qualifiction alreaady with the B-Team or maybe better say a very young team with a couple of experienced a-team players.
The motivation with these players is very high and even the standard is still decent ( i mean they won everything this year, no matter who plays, they even won at Wembley with a much weaker team than the one today).
For Ireland: they are playing almost as many reserve players as germany, so considering this you are back to neutral and that makes germany definetely a play.
